The Badger Trust
The Badger Trust promotes the conservation and welfare of badgers and the protection of their setts and habitats. It is the leading voice for badgers and represent and support around 80 local voluntary badger groups. The Badger Trust provides expert advice on all badger issues and works closely with MPs, the police and other conservation and welfare organisations.

Oxfordshire Nature Conservation Forum (ONCF)

Oxford Nature Conservation Forum (ONCF)

ONCF is a lively and informal partnership of conservation organisations, farming bodies, environmental and recreation interests, as well as local government.

ONCF has a membership of over 50 organisations as well as an established network of local communities, Local Agenda 21 contacts, academics and interested individuals.

Oxford Conservation Volunteers
The Oxford Conservation Volunteers is a voluntary organisation which has been carrying out practical work conserving the wildlife and traditional landscape of the Oxford area since 1977. The group organises work parties every weekend and undertakes a wide variety of nature conservation work. This can range from maintaining the woodland habitat of the Black Hairstreak butterfly to planting trees on reclaimed rubbish tips of urban Oxford; from laying traditional Cotswold hedges to digging out silted ponds; and from continuing ancient coppicing cycles to erecting new fences around nature reserves.

Oxford Urban Wildlife Group

Oxford Urban Wildlife Grou

Aims to discover and conserve, for the benefit of the public at large, the wildlife interest and amenity of wildlife areas in Oxford. The Group has been involved in the creation and maintenance of an urban nature reserve and promoting the principles and practices of nature conservation to the public, including young people. Oxford RSPB Member's Group
The Group offers local members, students, and the general public, a forum where they can assist the RSPB in its aims, whilst developing their knowledge and interest in birds through talks, and organised field trips. We also support the RSPB's work in Oxfordshire by providing volunteers and wardens for the RSPB Reserve on Otmoor. Whether you've lived in the area for ages, or are just visiting, we'd be delighted to welcome you and show you some of the birds in our area!

Forest of Oxford
The Forest of Oxford provides help and specialist advice to organisations in Oxford which wish to plant trees and stage events in their neighbourhood. Its target audience includes schools, businesses, voluntary groups and local resident associations and it is supported by the Oxford City Council. The Forest of Oxford is linked to the Oxfordshire Woodland Group.

River Thames Society (Upper Thames / Thames Head branch)

Oxford Rare Plants Group
The Rare Plants Group – part of the Ashmolean Natural History Society of Oxfordshire –.works to conserve rare plants in Oxfordshire by monitoring them, protecting and managing their habitats and doing research to find out their requirements. The Group is active in the conservation of the Broad-leaved Cudweed, Birthwort, Pasqueflower, Creeping Marshwort, Early Gentian, Cotswold Penny-cress, Fen violet, Green Hound’s-tongue and Meadow Clary.
