West Oxford Flora Survey

Summer 2002

The West Oxford Wildlife Group completed its first survey of West Oxford's flora in 2002.

We are accompanied and guided in this work by Frances Watkins, an experienced botanist from the Ashmolean Natural History Society of Oxfordshire, Rare Plants Group. Frances has kindly agreed to help us with plant identification and the basics of survey technique.

We now have two interim lists of plants found on these survey routes:

• from the WOCA building around to and along Binsey Lane (26 May 2002)
• from King George Playing Field, Osney Mead and WIllow Walk (18 June 2002)
