There is a quiet route into the city along the river, but it’s not entirely easy to find. Much of it has now been tarmac’d, but there are a few gaps. Once over the old gasworks bridge, the route through to Trinity Street isn’t obvious, with several possibilities blocked off in the last couple of years. The best route needs to be clearly identified so it can be tidied up and advertised. There is also a potential shortcut on the north end of the old gasworks bridge that would avoid going round in a circle.
