The West Oxford Community Association solar-powered building – a short walk from the city centre and close to the railway station – offers a range low-cost rooms for sports, courses, business and social meetings, and private events.
Our modern purpose-built centre offers you the following choice of spaces:
- a sports/general-purpose hall
- a large multi-purpose room
- a bright sunny cafe with patio, which overlooks the park and adjacent children's playground,
- two smaller, quiet seminar rooms.
All available at exceptionally economical rates.
Wheelchair access to all areas of the building including toilets. Hearing loops are in place in the large hall (capacity 150) and the multi-purpose room (capacity 30).
The hall has a sprung floor very suitable for dancing – and has been proved in classical concerts and drama events to develop an excellent acoustic when an audience is present.
A powerpoint projector – available as an optional extra for a modest fee. A full range of audio-visual equipment can be hired locally from City Audio-Visual (corner of Mill Street, 5 mins walk away).
Art exhibition facilities – using the picture hanging system installed in the Mary Town Room. Available for weekend use only.
